Nestled outside the bustle of the Seattle Area, this luxury log home was built as a getaway with an epic view of Mount Rainier.
Originally built in the 1990s as a Bed & Breakfast with room for the owner's horses, this location has been hosting guests for over two decades. Located 30 minutes Southeast of Seattle, the home is located in a quiet, forested, secure area of Auburn, WA. The log home was positioned on the property to overlook the Green River Valley toward the most iconic natural feature in the Pacific Northwest-Mt Rainier.
When you get to the property, you'll be welcomed to view along the long driveway past the maintained pasture (no horses. sorry). The paved driveway in front of the garage comfortably holds two full sized SUVs. If you need more parking, there is maintained gravel and grass parking spots capable of comfortably and safely parking 10 vehicles.
As you enter the home, you'll be welcomed by the stone entry, wood burning fireplace, and living area with the classic lodge windows facing directly toward Mount Rainier. The living room is outfitted with a new large screen TV, couch, love seat, and reading chair to fit six.
As you enter the kitchen, there is ample space to mingle while food is prepared. Six burner propane stove large over, large microwave, big fridge, and settings for 12 ensure's you're able to feed guests comfortably and efficiently. The kitchen is outfitted with pots, pans, baking sheets, utensils, blender, french press, instapot, and a most things required for a vacation stay.
The large dining room table seats 8 between the upholstered chairs and long bench. Should you require more dining space, we can accommodate more tables and chairs for hosting larger events.
The remainder of rooms upstairs is the bathroom and laundry room. The laundry room is outfitted with a new front-loading washer and dryer, utility sink should, and common consumables needed (TP, paper towels, detergent, etc).
Heading upstairs, you'll find an open air workspace with views to the North and Southside of the home. It's a great place to work or add two beds to host more guests.
The master bedroom consists of a King Bed with morning view directly pointed at Mount Rainier. The master bath has a dedicated powder room, large sink area for makeup and preparations and a walk-in tile shower with two shower heads. Shampoo, conditioner, and body was are provided. And if you need room for your clothing or prepare for an event, the HUGE master closet is larger than most modern bedrooms.
The 2nd upstairs bedroom is immediately adjacent to the master and outfitted with a bunk bed. Ample closet space and room to relax.
The finished basement has two bedrooms, living area, full bathroom, yoga studio and an extra kitchen.
Each bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed, desk, smart TV, large closet, and vanity sink.
The downstairs bathroom is a ***favorite*** in the home. In addition to the walk in shower and single sink, the bathroom is outfitted with a Japanese smart toilet seat. It's a fave. Trust me.
The main living area is outfitted with two couches, two rocking chairs, and other seating for a chill out and relax area for guests looking for space. Off the main living area is a dedicated yoga studio with full glass facing (you guessed it) Mount Rainier. The second kitchen consists of an electric range, sink and washrack, and fridge. This is commonly used for hosting and cooking and catering for private events where the upstairs kitchen is being used for work.
Each bed is outfitted with a thick comforter/duvet combo, four pillows, and hypoallergenic sheets. There is extra bedding and towels for each bedroom in the linen closet on the main living area.
Outside the home, you'll have plenty of breathing space. You can sit on the rocking bench under the massive cedar trees, take a hike down to the private meadow below, or relax in the on of the many flower gardens.
There are other structures in the pasture area rented separately for events. We ask that guest not renting those spaces respect the security of those buildings. Two events are never hosted on the property at the same time, so you will have complete privacy of the space should you make a bo
